Senior Phase
At Thornhill Primary, the Senior Phase, also known as the Intermediate Phase, marks a pivotal stage in a child’s educational journey. Building on the strong foundational skills developed in earlier years, this phase focuses on fostering a sense of independent learning and further strengthening essential academic abilities.
In the Senior Phase, learners continue to enhance their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, ensuring they are well-equipped for more advanced studies. This phase introduces students to crucial concepts such as time management, study and revision timetables, and more complex assessments. The emphasis on goal setting and effective time management is integral, as it enables students to use their foundational knowledge to explore new concepts and expand their understanding.
Our dedicated educators at Thornhill Primary support students in this critical phase, helping them to develop the skills necessary for success and encouraging a lifelong love of learning.
